Yeah, but your attitude is shaped by your environment and the behavior of those around you. It's complex. Sometimes someone who is happy all the time can really effin piss you off, because of their "blind niceness" without any real sincerity. Again, it's a messed up world. I think I'm learning that maybe I'm meant to just be a pissed off person most of the time, because I grew up in a loving caring family, and the world is not loving and caring. I'd love to go back to the way things were, but it's not reality for me. I think I would actually be happiest with someone who constantly tests me.

Anyway, this is a pretty cool site. I can't reply to "How do you stay organized?!" so I'll say that I have written up an online calender in Word, and since I spend a lot of time on the computer, I check it often, and it is effective.

Helen hit the nail on the head.

Lately I've been considering the majority of people, and I've realized that they're absolutely terrible. The thing is, there are various factors (such as appearance, personality, likability) that can determine how likely someone is to lie to you, or to say "yes" to something when they don't really intend to do it. When you think about it, people are treated differently because of these factors, which means that certain people are probably MORE LIKELY to be lied to, which means certain people get the shitty end of the stick in life.

I recall reading recently that more "attractive" looking people are actually favored in the world of business, and pretty much in all facets of life. Just think about all the people that are left out of this attractive category? I can tell you first hand - the world is different. And I'm not even that unattractive, but I know enough to understand how certain people are neglected, lied to, and all the while are expected to act as if the world is treating them 100% fairly.

It's a messed up world.

We're advanced animals.

The fact that you live in peace and are able to carry out conversations such as this on a message board is the result of so many factors that are completely out of your control. Best consider yourself lucky to at least live in peace, I suppose! As for counting on people - don't expect to be able to :/

Attitude is the way you mentally look at the world around you. It is how you view your environment and your future. It is the focus you develop toward life itself.

Oh, I knew that feeling...I experienced that several times but you know, I realized that I should never let anyone ruin my happiness. Now, I really don't care if somebody is not happy for what I am because what matter most to me now is that I am contented and satisfied with what I have. :)

Many people never really get into integrity ... they can't simply stick to what they say they are going to do ... they let themselves down as much as they let everyone else down. Many people have trouble saying *no* so they say *yes* - without thinking that saying no is actually easier and a lot better than engendering disappointment later when they can't turn up. Also life in the modern world is busy with a capital B - we all do too much - a lot less than we expect of ourselves.
